Mountain Elopement

I cannot believe that I am just getting around to blogging about this mountain elopement! This couple and this day was absolutely perfect, and happened in one of my favorite places in the world.

Meeting the Couple

I met Erin in a Facebook group dedicated to people who left the LDS church. I made a post in the group about looking for new friends since I lost a lot of my friends when I left the church. And Erin was one of the beautiful people that responded to my post!

We became internet friends and talked back and forth for awhile. And I eventually asked her if her and her partner would be willing to do a styled shoot with me so I could add some more diversity to my portfolio. They said yes, but then it turned into Erin and I planning her proposal to Mia!

Once they got their photos back from their engagement, they both said it was a no brainer for them on who they wanted to photograph their elopement day. And from there, they became some of the greatest friends I’ve ever made!

Erin and Mia’s Mountain Elopement

Erin and Mia’s mountain elopement was perfect. The two got ready together in their apartment, which was such a beautiful and intimate time. Then they had a few of their closest friends in attendance and had their ceremony on top of a hill filled with beautiful wildflowers. The sun was shining through the trees down on them, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day.

After their ceremony, I took Erin and Mia on an adventure through the canyon, and then they went back to the Airbnb they rented and had pizza and cake with their friends. Which if you ask me, is the PERFECT wedding food!

Your elopement can be as simple or adventurous as you want it. Just make sure it is authentic to you and your partner!
