Capitol Reef national park is the least visited national park in Utah, which is such a shame! Also, did you know that this park is the closest one to Salt Lake City? And it boasts all of the magnificent desert colors that Utah is known for! Take a Jeep tour, go canyoneering, take a hike, or hop on your mountain bike and explore this amazing park. Despite the park being lesser known, you won’t be disappointed! Capitol Reef National Park is certainly a perfect place for your intimate wedding or elopement!
I had the opportunity to photograph Shari and Peggy’s intimate wedding in this stunning place back in the spring, and it was literally the most beautiful day ever! We had blue skies with fluffy white clouds, warm weather, and lots of sun. Couldn’t have asked for better weather!
After their amazing ceremony on top of a cliff and getting photos with their guests, I took Peggy and Shari around the park to explore and take photos of just the two of them. It was fun getting to roam around the park and take in all of the sights! After that, we met back up with everyone at Cougar Ridge for their reception dinner. The day was filled with so much love, fun, and adventure — just how any adventure wedding should be!
