If you are planning an elopement in Utah, I suggest doing some snowshoeing to keep warm and have fun together! Utah is a destination location for visitors all year, but we’re most known for the epic snow for skiing. So, lots of people come from all over the world for just that! But the mountains of Utah are awesome in the winter even if you aren’t a skier or snowboarder. And there is still a lot you can do for your elopement if you’re looking for that snowy winter backdrop.
B&G started off their elopement day with getting ready together. They kept it simple and B did her own hair and makeup and wore a dress and fur shawl she found online. And G wore one of his favorite suits. They added some beautiful touches with florals from a local florist as well!
After getting ready, they met up with me in the mountains in Provo Canyon and we started out with some photos and they read their vows to each other, and then we did some snowshoeing around the canyon to keep warm! The great thing about snowshoeing, is that you don’t need any experience. They might feel weird on your feet at first, but you’ll get the hang of it in no time!
After snowshoeing, B&G had a cute little table set up with a beautiful cake from Wildflower Cake Co. They cut their cake and enjoyed it with some sparking cider.
If you are wanting to have a similar elopement day in Utah with snowshoeing but are afraid of not being able to stay warm, I always suggest bringing warm layers that you can take off in between photos or that you won’t mind being photographed in. And we can always bring along some hot chocolate or whatever your favorite warm beverage is. But don’t worry, I won’t make you freeze for too long!
