This Utah mountain elopement with Chantel and Maxwell, was my first real elopement that I ever photographed. And to this day, it is still one of my favorites.
The couple were the sweetest people alive and so easy to work with, they stayed in the cutest little cabin in Sundance, Utah, and said their vows nearby at The Hollow. Afterwards, they had a little fun on the zipline the The Hollow has on site, and we went to Aspen Grove to do some more photos, before they headed off to Midway for dinner!
Utah is so known for its vast red rocks and marvelous arches down in Moab and Zion. Which don’t get me wrong, I love the red rocks and think Southern Utah is amazing! But don’t overlook our mountains when deciding where you want to elope.
I always see people only looking at Colorado for their mountain elopements because they don’t realize what we have in Utah. And not to throw Colorado under the bus — their scenery and mountains are gorgeous! But if you want a mountainous landscape, Utah is just hard to beat! Our mountains are right next to the valley, which makes it much easier to get to and navigate. Unlike Colorado, where you typically have to drive 30-45 minutes just to reach the foothills of the mountains. I can literally leave my home and be at my favorite canyon within 10 minutes! And you just don’t get that everywhere! Which makes it nice and convenient for driving around or if you or your guests fly in. Utah is very easy to navigate!
