Last week I talked all about eloping in Moab! So I thought it would be fitting to share this cute vow renewal that happened last spring in Moab! If you are thinking about having any kind of wedding or vow ceremony, Moab is a great location choice. Go read up on all the things you need to know about Moab!
Some don’t get the wedding they wanted the first time around. And others just want to make new commitments to each other. Whatever the reason, a vow renewal might be just right for you!
Maybe you just didn’t have the budget to have the wedding you wanted. Maybe you got married young or didn’t have much help to put a wedding together.
Or maybe it was something like your religion having certain standard for your wedding, that no longer align with your relationship. Being an Ex Mormon, I find this a lot in my new community. So many are forced to follow religious standards for their wedding day. And later leave their religious practices, and feel sorrow for having a wedding where they didn’t feel love and comfort.
Whatever your reason may be, vow renewals allow you to make new commitments to each other, the way you want. And you get to have the day you’ve always dreamed of.
April and Isaac came to Moab for their vow renewal, after being married for 10 years! We had planned for their whole renewal to be in Arches National Park. But when we got there, it was completely full and we couldn’t get in. However, starting in April, Arches will start testing out a reservation system. Hopefully it’ll work well and help with the problem of overcrowding in the park!
Since the park was full, we headed over to Canyonlands and did the first part of their session there. And my gosh, the views did not disappoint!
After we got some epic photos in Canyonlands, we drove back over to Arches, and thankfully, we could get in this time! Once we got in, we went straight to the location they chose to share their vows. Despite being very full, this spot in the park was very quiet and peaceful. We had a handful of people walk up during their ceremony, but everyone was very respectful and watched quietly. It was the perfect spot for such a beautiful and intimate moment!
I am so thankful that April and Isaac picked me to document their day! They were the sweetest people and I hope we get to cross paths again in the future!
