So you’re having your elopement in Moab, but you aren’t sure what adventures you want to do on your day. Well, I have a whole list of activities to elevate your elopement day in one of the most beautiful places!
The obvious first thing you should do while you’re in Moab, is visit the national parks — Arches and Canyonlands. Both are amazing and offer different views from each other that are sure to blow you away! But there are so many more activities you can do in this desert oasis. So, here is a list of the top elopement adventures I recommend doing in Moab!
Rent Jeeps or ATVs and go off roading — This is a great option if you want to explore more remote areas that not many people know about, but don’t want to hike a ton on your elopement day
Hiking — There are SO many hiking trails inside and outside of the parks with varying levels of length and difficulty. So if you two love hiking, you’ll love what Moab has to offer!
Hot air balloon ride at sunrise — This activity is dependent on the weather, but can you imagine getting to explore Moab from above! Many people have visited this amazing place, but very few have seen it from above.
Guided tour in one of the parks or through the miles and miles of BLM land — While I know Moab very well, the guides in the area know way more. I did a guided tour of Arches with a couple last year and learned so many interesting history facts about the park that I never knew!
Stargazing — Fun fact: Arches and Canyonlands are both rated as Dark Sky Parks! But you can go almost anywhere away from the town center of Moab and see some spectacular views at night. And doing astrophotography with my couples has become one of my favorite adventures to do for elopements. So don’t think photos have to end when the sun goes down, weather permitting!
Rock climbing — Moab is known for it’s world renowned climbing. There are SO many options to choose from to climb in and around Moab. So if that’s your thing, let’s include it on your wedding day! I do have some climbing experience, but I also have a drone I can use!
Helicopter/Airplane tour — Another option to see Moab from above! But this one doesn’t have to exclusively be at sunrise. There are a few tours to choose from in Moab, and there are some that will even do a private landing! How cool would that be? Not very many people can say they’ve had that experience!
Scenic drive through Moab or Castle Valley — If you’re looking for a chill adventure and just want to sight see, taking a drive through this little piece of heaven on earth is a great option. There are so many places where you can stop along the road and get out and walk and take in all the beauty around you!
Horseback riding — This has honestly been one of my favorite experiences with my couples! And I mean come on, you’re in the very place where a ton of the old western movies were filmed. So why not make your elopement a true western experience!
